One of the most valuable resources that you can use when attempting to locate information on weight loss is the Internet. Often times when individuals research weight loss techniques, one of the first techniques that will come to mind is diet pills or diet supplements. It is true that pills or supplements may in fact actually help you in your process of losing weight, but they are not the only option available if you want to try and shed some extra pounds. Another option that you have for losing weight is called colon cleanses, also know as weight loss cleanses.

If you’re wondering how colon cleanses work and are just not really familiar about the whole idea of colon cleansing, don’t worry, you’re certainly not alone. There are a number of different colon cleanse products available on the market, some claiming that they will help you lose weight, and some claiming that they may not have any influence on your weight loss process. It’s important that you familiarize and understand exactly what the product you are buying can potentially do for you. If you want a colon cleanser that will help you burn fat, then you’ll want to be sure you purchase one that will help you do so.

One of the most important tips that you’ll want to keep in mind when you purchase a colon cleanse product is to always follow the directions that are given on the product label. A good example is that there are a number of colon cleanse products that require that you do not eat anything for a short period of time, up to 2 days, before using them. This allows for complete digestion of the majority of the solid foods that may be present before the product is used. These types of cleanses often come in the liquid form. Some colon cleanses may have directions which limit you to what you can eat or drink before using the product. Acceptable items may be fruits and vegetables, or vegetables only, and can vary from product to product. These types of colon cleanse products often come in the form of a pill. Whatever the case may be, it is important that you follow the diet instructions of the product you buy in order for it to be successful and work effectively. The diet instructions and the colon cleansing process work together as a team to make weight loss possible so it is important to take them both seriously.

One of the desired results of the colon cleansing process is to partially or completely detoxify your body. Basically what will generally happen is that the colon cleanse will push the toxins out of your colon and in some cases it will remove toxins from your intestines. This process can generate a couple of different positive results. One of those positive results is better overall health, and the other positive result is that it can help you lose the weight that you’ve been wanting to get rid of. How much can colon cleanses help you lose? Well it has been found that the average person may have 4 to 8 pounds of solid waste in their body at any given time. This obviously will vary depending on the size of the person in question. The colon cleanse helps remove the excess weight from the body, which in turns aides in the weight loss process.

Some colon cleanses are work rapidly, which is why they are called rapid colon cleanses. These products can decrease the time it takes for the colon cleanse cycle to occur which results in a process that may only take 4 to 7 days. Because the cleansing process is occurring more quickly, there is the potential for losing weight much faster than other products. If an individual has an important event coming up such as a wedding or sporting event, they might choose to use rapid colon cleanses in order to lose weight quickly. It is important to use the products as indicated with caution and realize that the misuse or improper use of these products can do more harm to the body than good. Exercise is very important and should be added or increased with any diet plan and if this is not done, then there is a good chance that you will see the weight come back. This may occur if you were asked to restrict your diet while using the colon cleanse, but then resumed your normal diet once that process was complete. It is generally a good idea to develop a healthy diet and exercise plan in combination with the colon cleanse as well as once the cleansing process is complete in order to achieve maximum weight loss results.

Colon cleanses are a great product for helping you lose weight and can be purchased in many different types of stores including department stores, fitness stores, pharmacies, and health stores. Many of these types of stores allow you to shop online as well which may or may not be more convenient for you. It is generally a good idea to research the products that you are considering purchasing either by reading reviews or consulting a physician.

Hi!

Thank you for any help you’re able to provide me in advance. I hope to not type a lot, but, I’d like help from people for my diet. This will be the first time doing so, as, my own diet that I’ve been following on and off for the past year has been solely designed by me with absolutely no outside influences at all, built from scratch, and hasn’t followed any bullcrap “colonic cleansing” or “acai berry” scams [I actually tried Acai berry pills my step mom brought over for a week, true, I kept losing weight, but, I didn't notice anything extraordinary].

This will probably be a bit long, but, it’d be great if you helped… I also like to rant on, basically to give you a very accurate description.

Anyway, I consider the main pillars of foundation in my diet to be a few things:

1) Great, healthy and nutritious breakfast
2) Whole grains and lots of Fiber
3) A salad a day keeps cancer away [probably not but it rhymes, and, I put very little salad dressing on]

Generally I have other small rituals of eating rotating around that, but, nevermind.

I weighed 247.5 a year ago, I weigh 189.8 right now, and am aiming for 165. I am 5’10, age 15, male, Caucasian.

Here’s my rough schedule of a day in my diet:

Bowl of cereal consisting of 1/3 Fiber One ORIGINAL [not Honey Clusters with a ton of sugar], 1/3 Kellogg’s Strawberry Blueberry Whole Wheat Cereal, 1/3 Cinnamon Crunch TOTAL Cereal.

The bowl is a normal sized bowl for general purpose, cereal, oatmeal, salad, etc.

3/4 of a cup to 1 and a quarter cup of Fat Free Skim Milk.

Occasionally a teaspoon or two of sugar, I’m going to stop this practice though.

One slice of 100% whole wheat bread, and a small [4 oz or less] container of Fiber One Fat-Free Yogurt or Activia Fiber/Fat Free Yogurt.

Lunch: Large salad. At school, we get them in those large salad dishes, like McDonalds sells, but, somewhat bigger. Wide and about 1.5 inches deep. Filled with Romaine/Iceberg lettuce, broccoli [I tend not to eat the broccoli though] carrots, a bit of cheese, cubed ham chicken and turkey, tomato, a small orange slice and a breadstick [we actually get two of them but I give one to a friend], oh, and one egg. Though, I get rid of most, if not all, of the yolk and give it away or throw it.

I put maybe one, TWO MAX tablespoons of french dressing on the salad. Not much, a small squirt, not even a full squirt, maybe half of one, 2/3 maybe. A full squirt is around, I estimate about two tablespoons [I used to measure out two tablespoons so I know what it looks like roughly].

I rather think I’m good with dressing, I don’t need much. Two tablespoons isn’t a lot at all and I usually only have 1-1.5 tablespoons. Most people at my school, for a little square on their lunch tray, which is like fifteen times smaller than my salad, they put like eight tablespoons of dressing on! Wow. Anyways, I also have a milk carton of skim milk [not chocolate] with the salad.

When I get home, I usually have oatmeal, Fiber One sprinkled on top, made with skim milk [will probably switch to water/skim milk combo then water as time goes on], maybe some fresh fruit [strawberries or blueberries] with it or in it. Maybe an orange or and apple.\

Lately, I’ve been eating a small sandwich, with fat-free low sodium/triple calcium sandwich cheese, two slices, and light sandwich meat [20 calories per piece, two pieces] with honey mustard [I got rid of mayo a long time ago] and a touch of ketchup [I like it that way, don't ask], with of course, fresh lettuce, on two pieces of 100% whole wheat bread, instead of oatmeal.

I drink at least six cups of cold water in between lunch and dinner, sometimes up to twelve.

For dinner, it’s usually something small, unless mom is home, which means something cooked but I have a much smaller amount than she does, basically, I try and portion it. But, most of the time, I make my own dinner. Which is either oatmeal if I had a sandwich earlier, a small salad [with light dressing] or something along those lines. Dinner is usually a lot smaller compared to lunch and especially breakfast. I may have something small before bed, but, it’s usually quite small, like a piece of bread.

Anyways, it’s generally between 1500-2,050 calories. I walk home from school, and will begin to walk to school soon a few days. I ride bike and go to the Gym three or four times a week and do a lot there. Most people stick to 1,000 calorie diets, but, to be honest, for me, that’d be a little bit low, considering my age, weight and general activity level.

Anyways, thank you for reading. Any tips on sprucing this up might help. Any useful tips on exercise to do while sitting in school without looking dumb or anything like that would be helpful. Find any weakpoints in my diet? Help me out! I’d love that, considering I’ve been going solo for a year. I’ve lost a lot of weight, but, I stopped at 195 for a little while, dropped to 190ish and am now lingering around 19

I’m in this recovery program at the children’s hospital for people with eating disorders, and for dinner tomorrow i’m doing whats called shop-cook where you have to find a recipe, buy the ingredients, cook it, and eat it. The recipe has to have a meat, a grain, a dairy and a fruit or veggie plus a table spoon of added fat (so cooking oil, or salad dressing, or cheese if I’m not using it for my dairy.) Does anybody have any quick healthy recipes like this that I could use?

Btw, the point of shop-cook is NOT to fatten me up so I would rather not have anything with lots of grease and crap like french fries. Just a recipe that follows the food guide. Thanks. =D

I know that this is in the wrong section, but when i posted it in health, I got a troll giving me some crap about a colon cleanse. Just so you know.
